Blessings 30 - 34

Blessing 30 {Clean Culture} - After Maelee's 2nd round of TOBI her culture came back showing nothing but normal oral flora. It was the first time that has happened since she started her cultures last year! It was great news and a huge answer to prayers & fasting. The longer we can keep the pseudonomas away the better obliviously. So now I have a more precise answer to a question I get asked a lot - "So what does it mean when Maelee get's a cold, why are you extra careful with germs." My answer can be "well a cold for a non CF kid could mean maybe antibiotics and no looking back, while the same cold for Maelee could mean 6 months of on again off again antibiotics, an outpatient surgical procedure, and several thousand dollars." So here's to you clean culture thanks for making our Great Strides walk shirts true!

Blessing 31 {Sister In Law's} - This week was the week of Megan's baby shower. It was lots of fun to spend time with Frank's sisters and my best girlfriend/sister in law Brandie. No boys allowed (except Roy at the DQ of course) and lots of fun talking and laughing for 6 hours in the car on the combined way up and back.

Blessing 32 {Larry Lion} - Maelee's awesome Uncle Selby dropped by a present this week that is now a cherished love of Maelee's. Meet Larry Lion. Unfortunately for Larry, Chloe likes him too. Maelee attempts to carry Larry Lion everwhere. In the kitchen to watch me make diner, underneath her slide, etc. Now as you can see below Maelee is still going strong with her love of the harmonica. My sister recently went to a Martina McBride concert where she saw MM play 3 songs on the harmonica. Now we have proof that Maelee can fulfill both of her parents dreams by both becoming a country music super star and winning an Olympic swimming gold medal. We don't ask much of her.

Blessing 33 {2008 Olympics} - Like many of our friends, family, and neighbors we have been staying up late and catching every minute of Olympic action possible. Frank has been following Phelps since before Athens and was a little sad when he had a Scout camp out on Friday - his 7th chance at an Olympic medal and would miss the prime time race. He was able to not find out what happened and watched the race as soon as he set his sleeping bag down on Saturday afternoon. While he screamed and jumped up and down watching the race Maelee laughed hysterically and then joined in screaming and yelling at the television.

Blessing 34 {Sleepover} - Maelee and I slept over at my mom's house on Friday while Frank was camping with the scouts. Withing 2 hours of being their Maelee was given a feast for diner, taken swimming, an 8 person tent with an air mattress was set up for her, she got taken on a wagon ride, and then had a root beer float while watching Sesame Street in Gramy's bear chair. It was a fun sleepover at Gramy B's house and she looks forward to a future Nana sleepover.
