Gum drop cupcakes & Party Hats

Maelee woke up last week and turned 2. We celebrated with the number 2 all day. Including number two chocolate chip pancakes.

And two party hats.She got to have a pizza lunch with cousins, Aunt Amie, and BB. When Daddy came home he brought Nana's birthday package with him and she enjoyed the accessories before her water fun in the backyard. All Polly's grandbabies get sent spectacular birthday party packages every year.After her dream birthday diner of hot dogs and chips we had time for a quick tea set party before the guests arrived.She had gumdrop decorated cupcakes baked inside ice cream cones. Really the ice cream cone part was more for Dad.Then the fun really started. All brave party guests wore number two party hats. I knew saving my cereal box cardboard would pay off in so many ways. This is my favorite picture of my new 2 year old. This is Maelee's new doll house and Panda family. Kung Fu Panda is a new Maelee favorite (thanks Papa) and she was happily indulged in her new found Panda obsession. While opening the Panda from her Aunt Amie and Uncle Jon she saw it through the sack and was overjoyed.I probably got as much fun out of making Maelee's dollhouse as she will playing with it. You might of also noticed Maelee's new fancy sparkle heart dress. She loves Fancy Nancy lately and BB made her this special hoop skirt sparkle dress. As you can see from the picture below, the happier Maelee is the curlier her hair gets - or maybe its the sweatier she gets. Oh well either way she had a dreamy 2nd birthday. Thanks Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nana, Papa, BB, and friends for making it a special day!
