Through 25

Blessing 21{Roller Skate Stickers}

Maelee was able to get a large sticker collection over the past 4 months or so because she liked to put them on her stuffed animals (and her live Chloe dog too) while she did her TOBI treatments. A favorite set of stickers came from the dollar section at JoAnn's and had sports equipment throughout. She became obsessed in particular with the roller skate stickers. She would put one on each foot and run around screaming "I'm going faster mom, I'm going faster!" I would join her and we would both run around the living room in as large of a circle as the room aloud us. We were doing this very thing 2 hours before my water broke with Charlie...hmm. As the nurse was helping me get comfortable in the delivery room I still had a roller skate sticker on one of my feet! Here's to you roller skate stickers, thanks for the burnt calories in myself and my Maelee - oh and for possibly putting me into labor. Blessing 22 {Sharing}

It is great to watch Maelee catch on to important concepts like sharing, being polite, etc. Here she is sharing with Charles. Her beloved farmer Ernie and cow. Thanks big sister.

Blessing 23 {Routine}
The first time this summer that I took Maelee swimming in our play pool outside I wanted to keep her busy while I put things away when we were done. I wrapped her in a towel and sat her on the couch by the door with a book. She loved being wrapped in the towel with her book and every swimming excursion since she makes sure I remember to do it. I am glad she enjoys routine as much as her Daddy does and as much as I do now that Maelee's Daddy taught me to love it, need it, and go crazy without it.

Blessing 24 {Tie Trick}
While Charlie and I were too fresh from the hospital to go to church Frank took Maelee to all 3 hours by himself. Most concerned about keeping our busy body busy doing the first hour of church (sacrament meeting), Frank introduced Maelee to all of his tie tricks. When we got back into all going to church together two weeks ago I witnessed first hand Frank (she wants nothing to do with her mother who wears no such tie) entertaining Maelee for the full hour with his necktie. I'm close to convincing him to try out for America's Got Talent.

Blessing 25 {Participating Papa}

Maelee and Charles are blessed to have a Papa who knows how to take care of them. Their Papa can tend a baby just as well as any female I've ever seen. What a blessing to have him as an example for them and their Dad and I.

I know I should be on blessing 27 this week but I will catch up more later. The best blog EVER and one I can't stop being amazed over is http://babywisemom.blogspot.com absolutely amazing! I tried to do BW with Maelee and was consistent on and off - but this woman not only has it down pat but has also read every parenting book out there it seems and writes extremely well.
