However poor I am about blogging of late I am proud that I have been writing in my journal so I am going to go back to look and find the blessings of the past (am-hem) several weeks.
Week 35 {Big Sister} Charles is fascinated with his big sister. Even as little as he is he is very aware when she is around. I was giving him a bath this week and he could here Frank and Maelee playing in the other room. He strained his neck to try and look around and find his sister's squealing laughing voice.

Week 36 {Ear Infection} Charles got an ear infection. Maelee hasn't ever had one that I know of so I didn't know how to spot it. Charles was acting very unlike himself and I knew something wasn't right. I figured it would be one of those things that the doctor couldn't do anything about. It was a blessing that it was easy to locate as an ear infection and easy to treat with antibiotics. We are so blessed to have such easy access to pharmacies and doctors to help when babies are sick and it feels like a desperate situation.
Week 37 {Sister Missionaries} Growing up I remember having the missionaries to our house for diner very often. My mom wanted to have their fun personalities and powerful spirits in our home. I am grateful for that experience growing up and grateful to have the desire to have the missionaries in our home for meals now. Maelee loves the missionaries and gets to excited when the sisters come over. Here is a picture of Maelee with the missionaries and the Maelee missionary badge they gave her.
Week 38 {Nursery Leaders} It is such a blessing to have nursery leaders who care about and love the children they teach. Maelee has absolutely incredible nursery leaders (a husband and wife) who make a great difference in her life and learning. They make her feel special and the things they teach her stick. My mom has a map of the world in one of the rooms of her house. Maelee pointed to the map and said "that's the world Jesus made for me BB" to my mom. That week in nursery her teacher made the effort to bring a globe into nursery to show the children the world and make the lesson from Behold Your Little One's more real. The lesson was "Jesus Christ Created The World For Me."
Week 39 {Mom Humility} Countless times I have been humbled since being a mother. This week in particular I was excited to go grocery shopping by myself when Frank got home. It was grocery day and as soon as Frank got home from work I was ready to leave. Maelee decided at the last minute she wanted to go with me. Grumpy that I wouldn't get to go at my own speed and not worry about anyone biting into the fruit in the cart or opening cereal boxes I grudgingly said she could go. She was an angel on the trip. She made me laugh the whole grocery trip and kept saying "this is a fun song!" to whatever was playing on the loud speaker at the store and danced like a mad women. I was grateful for her company at the store and felt sorry for having a bad attitude to start.

Week 40 {Easy Please} It is a very exciting time to have a 2 year old who is so easily impressed and pleased. We popped popcorn and sat on a blanket by our favorite slide and swings for part of our FHE and you would have thought we took Maelee to Disneyland to have milkshakes. I am grateful for this time in her life that fun is easy and hope we can keep this mind set up forever and ever (Not that milkshakes at Disneyland wouldn't be awesome - definitely on my list).
Week 41 {LIBRARY BOOKS!} For some reason I felt like I had to work up this tremendous amount of courage to take Maelee to the public library for the first time. We were all sick of reading the books at our house at nap and bed time and it was time for the first library trip. We all love love love love the new book variety and are so thankful for this public institution! We would have never known about Chewy Louie or got to explore further into Mercer Mayer's treasure trove of Little Critter without it!
