Was that really just 30 hours?

We literally left at 6am on Saturday morning and got back at 12 pm on Sunday afternoon but we sure packed an adventure into a weekend.

We went in the first place see the newest Clark boy get blessed on Sunday but got to do some other very cool things too. While we were up in Show Low we were able to get scans of some valuable family photographs from Frank's side of the family. I have this vision in my mind of having a huge collage wall of old family pictures from both sides of the family and be able to have stories to go with the pictures to talk to the kids about. One more piece to that vision is in place thanks to Aunt Jan. After scanning the pictures and stopping at the best DQ in Arizona for lunch we forged on to St. John's.

Enter the porch.
I could have spent all weekend lounging in Polly's swing looking at the Toy Story clouds. This porch is amazing. I can't wait to be on it to watch the rodeo for 24th of July. SOOOOO cool!Maelee got busy right away playing with Nana's toys. This was by far her favorite. An old Fisher Price tape recorder with a microphone. Loved by dozens of day care kids and still working like a charm! She sang her heart out.
She dragged the rocking horse outside to bust out a few more songs.
Then we had a touching duet.
A little later when Maelee put the toy down Charles crawled over and had himself a turn. Completely on his own initiative that boy sang his heart out too. In fact his Papa commented that if he put it any further down his throat we would be able to hear his heart beat.
Here is Frank and Roy talking on the porch. Seriously this porch is one of my new favorite places
(sitting on the balcony at Oceanside eating cold cereal, taking a nap in the Christmas room, and now Polly's porch check check double check)

Polly and a very tired Chuck enjoying her swing. Maelee and Charlie being silly in the swing.
After a grand feast of chinese food themed around shrimp prepared by P&R we proceeded to play Wii Fit for 3 hours. It was incredibly fun, especially ski jumping.
Then on our puke free ride home we drove through a blizzard in Heber.

Maelee even threw a snowball at me in the car from snow Frank got for her while freezing his pants off at the gas station pump.

The End

What a fun trip. We are jealous of the snow and Polly's porch.
