Maelee the 3 year old Pirate Princess

Maelee turned three in June. We like to dance around here so I knew I wanted to have her friends over to dance with us. Around the time of her party we had been playing pirates quite a bit. Also she had become determined to wear a dress everyday, all the time, everywhere because that is what princesses do she said. So that is how Maelee's Pirate Princess Dance Party was born.
We made prince/princess crowns, pirate hats, pirate puppets, princess fans, decorated cupcakes and busted several moves.
Modelling our scurvy scum faces in our pirate hats.
The party guests, minus the helpful friend mom Anna who stayed and made the magic happen and took the picture.Three chuckhead cousins.Maelee making an awesome face after decorating her cupcake. I think most of the M&M's ended up in her mouth rather than on the cupcake top. Her Dad would be proud.Maelee modeling a birthday treasure. Including an Ariel cell phone who she received several calls from Prince Cornelious on. The next day, her actual birthday, when she loaded her new bike basket with several items including but not limited to a wooden spoon, Ernie, and a cookie dough scoop. Here we are pre Toy Story 3 going to drop Chuck off for a nap before the show starts.
Outside the theatre. She was asked if it was her birthday (maybe the cheesey crown she insisted on wearing gave it away) on the way in and was given free popcorn because it indeed was her birthday. Later in the day when Nana's birthday package arrived right on time for the opening!
Maelee trying on her sparkly purple shoes, thanks again AJ.

Good ol Brandie and Steve got in on the birthday action too. Thanks for driving out!
A darling picture with my sister and brother in law.
Uncle Selby and the roller skates. We have a lot of fun with these around the house.
It was a great day filled with Maelee goodness. We love her so much and can't imagine how 3 years went by so fast.
