Blessing #1 & #2

I decided it was a grand idea of Tawni's to do a blessing journal for 2008 so here to catch myself up from missing week #1 is blessing #1 and #2 of the 2008 52 blessing journal.

Blessing #1 {Carrots}

An orange vegetable maybe not appreciated by some, but a necessity in our family. They are not only Chloe's favorite snack, but keep Maelee and her new teeth busy for a few minutes. Here's to you carrot.

Blessing #2 {Silly Traditions}

We seem to be obsessed with creating new (and trying to remember all of the ones we created already) traditions in our family. In the picture above you see Frank and I both humoring each other on two of those traditions. We wear Florida State shirts on game day (Frank goes as far as wearing his FSU gym shorts and ball caps as well, but I only wear the shirt). By game day I mean any day FSU plays an official football game. This was New Year's Eve when they played in the bowl game. You also see us interlocking arms and drinking Martinelli's from our fancy wedding glasses at midnight on New Year's Eve. I say we humor each other on some of these traditions because Frank's Florida State shirts aren't very becoming on me but I wear them anyway, and Frank doesn't dig the whole interlocking arm thing. But thanks for playing anyway Frank, also better luck next bowl game FSU.

Some other silly traditions include but are not limited to; eating at Sonic on college football national championship game day, me singing Dean Martin songs when I cook Italian food, going to Outback Steak House on New Year's Day, ordering a platter for the Super Bowl, going to Dairy Queen every time we go to Show Low, and having it rain on our tent every time we go camping with Polly and Roy. Here's to you silly traditions.
