Great Strides 2009 Team MAMA Lou

Great Strides 2009 was spectacular! We had such a great morning with our family and friends. We had 51 walkers this year! Thank you Team MAMA Lou for loving our Maelee girl and supporting our family and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's search for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. We couldn't ask for a better support group surrounding our family. As Maelee grows up and looks back she is going to see that she has an army of people who love her. THANKS Team MAMA Lou we love you all!

{Maelee and Haylee, not only rhyming 1st names but also matching pig tails}

{The handsomest Dad on the block and Maelee before the walk}

{Uncle Selby and Maelee on the way back from one of many Gatorade adventures}

{Paige, Maelee, & Kaylee - two of her favorite cousins ever}

{Chelsey, Kamarah, and Maelee. Mental note - never take a picture next to a girl with such a perfect hour glass waist pregnant or not pregnant! Chelsey is an amazing friend of mine from back in my singles ward days. One of my hero's currently as a brave 1st year teacher!!}

{The Adams family}

{The Brown Family}

{The entire Team MAMA Lou, minus a few}

{Maelee and BB}

{Julie, Bubba, Frank, and I. The Clark's drove all the way from Tucson to walk with us!}

{My sweet girlfriends Cammie and Anna. Popcorn party girls, cookie party girls, talk to when you need to remember you aren't the only Mom who has a kid that does crazy thing girls. Love them! And they roped their husband's into coming too - thanks Sam and Travis and Colton, Lethan, Addyson and Drake for putting up with a very long stroller walk}

{Maelee refusing to do anything is this picture but love on her Papa. Thanks Papa and Nana for adding 3 more hours of a drive into an already packed family reunion weekend. You love us so much and we are so thankful for you!}

{Julie, Kamarah, Kale, Dax, and Maelee}

{My mom and her sister my Aunt Susan. I love this picture of the two of them. Thanks Cluff family for getting out to Tempe and making the schedules of 7 people fit the walk in}

{I loved that Kale and Hayden made a fire and were roasting "burning" their Team MAMA Lou fish. Hilarious!}

{My sister Melissa and I. She escorted my large belly back to the umbrella and blanket to wait for our walkers. The secret is out Frank and Maelee walked without me this year. I'm kind of a wuss. Thanks Melissa for keeping me company!}
{Brandie girl and I showing off the adorable ribbon fiber hair ties she made for the walk. She always finds some special way to help me feel more prepared for things. Maelee has her hair doo dads on her shirt sleeves so they would stay put all day. She was SO excited about them!} Thanks to everyone again. We even had people come this year who were friend's and relatives of our cousin Coree! Strangers to us who are now friends and we are grateful for their support and kindness. We had a lot of friends and family that were sick or had other important things the day of the walk and we completely understand and hope to see all you next year. Counting them as walkers in spirit we had at least 61 walkers total and raised well over $600 towards finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis!

That's so great that you had such a big turnout. I should do it next year.
