Today Maelee and I were in the halls during the 3rd hour of church. The nursery kids came walking by holding on to their rope and being especially darling to take a little field trip outside. As the 15 children passed inches away from us holding on to the rope Maelee watched them walk by one by one and finally decided to grab on to the rope herself and join them. Only a few more weeks little Maelee and you too can be a big girl in nursery!

I have totally been thinking about the same thing today!! Can you believe our girls will be in nursery in less than 2 months???
That is so sweet. I love how children light up and want to be involved when they see another little person like themselves. It will be bitter sweet won't it. We have taken care of them each moment for those sometimes very long and wiggley hours of church...yes sitting through a meeting will be nice to actually get a principle out of it--but I have a feeling we will miss having to find some strange new object in our bags to entertain them. Each stage is such a blessing.
P.S. Thanks for the pricing on the hair. They sound great! I will let my sister know and give her your blog address.
I have totally been counting down the days till' Parker can go in there too! It will make church a lot more enjoyable!
a suggestion: talk with your nursey leaders. They usually let kiddos who have 3 -2 weeks before hand, come in with one parent. so they can get use to the schedule and what not, in nursey. It also pervents the shock of leaving mom and dad during church. start tell her that nursey is her class and she will have fun with so and so (insert friend's name and nursey teacher's name).
After she gets use to it, she will look forward to the time she can go to her class.
and don't worry, you can cry, too. Just not in front of her. that comes with the terrority of being a parent
The days my kids went to nursery were one of the happiest days of my life!! I could actually listen in the last block of church and both Emma and Jackson loved being big kids and being in their own class with snack and everything!
