PARI Nebi Ultra Pro II

Maelee needed her first nebulizer treatments today. We have been dreading a cough or sniffle from this girl for the past few months and the first ones came in the morning of this week. The cough stayed with her all day yesterday and we got our nurse at PCH involved. She called in a prescription to CVS yesterday afternoon. I was planning on picking up the scrip this morning after Maelee woke up - but ended up making a run to the 24 hour CVS at 1;45am this morning. She coughed enough to wake Frank and I up and it freaked us out so I ran and got the meds. I have always found it creepy driving that late at night. After I drilled the pharmacy tech with questions I began to roll up my car window and start driving away. In the middle of the road ahead of me was a huge German Shepard just sitting there staring at me. I didn't want to hit him so I drove real slow until I had almost passed him. Then I realized that the dog had a collar and leash on so I started to look around for an owner when I saw a shopping cart full of things half-way shoved into the ditch behind the pharmacy, remnants of I assume a homeless person? Before I became the victim of a homicide I put the pedal to the medal and left the dog barking at my dust.
Raced home to find Maelee peacefully sleeping and Chloe very concerned about why I left in the first place. She saw her pediatrician to be safe this afternoon and so far still just Albuterol through the nebulizer. She does pretty good with it. This morning, it being the first time I had even opened the box I realized we had a mouth piece only (for kids 8 and up) and not an infant mask. I gave her the treatment with the mask because I wanted to get her bronch tubes dilated and relaxed so she would stop couching. She ended up breathing a little in and sticking her tongue in the tube for the rest of the time. Two mask treatments later, she is sleeping. Hopefully no coughing tonight!

Oh wow...we definitely know how those breathing treatments go in our family. Dane was on breathing treatments everyday 4 x a day for about 6 months. And we have to give them to Ash whenever she starts wheezing. Hang in there. I know it's scary, especially since it has to do with them breathing and all. We love you guys!

did you rent your nueblizer or buy it outright? because if you just rented one, i have an unopened brand-y new one that you can have. I just have to find it.
