Well I think the saying is proud as punch - but you see what I mean...
One messy kitchen, 30 minutes clean up.
Landscapers outside driving my dog nuts and waking up the baby, 1 hour.
Watching Martha Stewart and being inspired, years and still counting.
A warm kitchen with a fantabulous smell and my 1st pumpkin pie - priceless.
Here are this years pies - I even latticed the cherry pie, it's a lot easier than I thought it would be!
So I love to eat, smell it and now officially love to make it. It is a variety I have never made but will for sure from now on. I have never needed to before because someone else always did it for me. But I am proud to say that I have graduated in my assignment for Grandma's Thanksgiving. Usually I am in charge of making the Jello cups.Below is a picture of last year with Melissa next to the Jello cups.
True, maybe not a glamorous duty - but one I took very seriously and strived to jazz up (adding fruit, more than one flavor per cup, and gummy bears for the cousins). Thanks to a couple of years of Melissa Mae loudly admiring my Jello at grandma's house I have finally achieved piedom. Melissa I wish you were here to see it, a tear would be shed. Have fun at Disneyworld and I bet you aren't sad you aren't here to see it since you are with Mickey.
Also tonight is the big ward turkey pit. A huge fire and lots of crazy little kids runny around should be a good time as always.

Wow Kamarah, I have to say I am pretty darn proud of you for attempting to make pies and especially for doing the lattice on the cherry pie. You are my culinary hero of the week!
