Blessing 16 {Dad Days}

Blessing 16 is this past Friday and Monday off of work for Frank. Maelee got to spend extra time with her Daddy on her first camping trip on Friday and Saturday and then her first zoo trip on Monday. We were so glad to be able to get up to the Adams Family Reunion early on Friday afternoon so that we could enjoy the day with our Adams family. We wouldn't have been able to set up camp in the light, enjoy as much time with Frank's parents and breath clean camping air if Frank wasn't able to get the day off on Friday so it was definitely a big blessing. Here are some pictures of our fun days camping and at the zoo.

(Maelee got her first chance to crawl around in the dirt)

(Maelee's cheeks are very rosy in these pictures. To get your own baby's cheeks this rosy simply sit by a fire, play in the sun, and do it all on a windy day)

(Maelee was our lucky charm at the raffle this year. She won us 4 things! Including this fascinating jingle bell wreath)

(Maelee loved the tent and got a huge smile on her face whenever we got in it and she wanted to play. Including when we laid her down for an afternoon nap on Saturday so the nap ended quick)

(This was by far the family favorite animal at the Tucson Zoo. This polar bear was swimming laps and putting on a show for us. He would swim to the end of his pool climb up the wall and then push himself backwards to do a back dive back into the water. He did this 3 times while we watched)

(We were able to meet our friends the Clark's at the Tucson Zoo. This is Frank's long time friend Bubba, his name is actually Brandt but I personally didn't even know what his first name was until we had been married 3 years - Frank and all the Show Low boys just always call him Bubba so I didn't ever think that it wasn't his actual first name. He is in law school at U of A and we had heard how amazing the Tucson zoo was so we met him and his family for a zoo trip. It was a blast!)

(Here is Bubba's beautiful wife Julie and their two sweet boys Kail and Dax. Kail was nice enough to share his zoo key with us and show us around the zoo since he has been there many times. Dax is just one month older than Maelee so it was fun to be around another baby her age. He had lots of smiles for us. All the kids did great at the zoo it was a fun day)(This bear had a frozen fruit block that he was munching on. You can see the grapes on top)

(The animals were super close and Maelee sang to the elephant. Frank went into the gift shop and bought her this cute purple Reid Park Zoo hat first thing when we got there)
So here's to you extra days with Daddy, may you come often and always be enjoyed!

Wow!, Sounds like fun. I wished I had spent some time at Tucson Zoo.

Looks like it was fun. I am jealous of the nice weather that allows you to wear short-sleeved shirts this time of year. It snowed and hailed here this past weekend!

Your pictures turned out so great! We had so much fun having you guys come down. I ran into a friend and the first thing Kail said to them was "Frank, Kamarah and Maelee came to Tucson to visit us" He loved having you over and was bummed when he realized you had to go back to Mesa. You have such a beautiful family--Thanks for making the time to come. We hope to do it again soon. Tell Maelee I will keep Brandt at a safe distance this weekend. Please let us know if we can bring anything, sounds like you have it down to a science. Kail will be so excited to have matching shirts. I hope you will reconsider and let us pitch in????????????
