Did you just hear that record scratch too?
Ok so everything about that fairytale was just that, a fairytale except the part about the gorgeous baby girl. While my companion and I made a sincere last stitch effort to get our appointments before the calendar turned to May I wasn't sure which lady's got visited at what times and what exactly the times were. I thought for sure though my companion had told me 9 and 10 for our two appointments today. So being a very clever mama I put a call into my companion to see which lady was being visited first and to clarify the times. In the mean time it was 8:00 and Maelee needed her 20 minute TOBI nebulizer treatment so we went upstairs. We usually wait until its time for her morning nap before we do the treatment and she falls asleep before I can finish the second book. But I read extra loud today and did some knee bouncing to try and keep her awake so she could sleep when we got back from visiting teaching. When the treatment was done and I had successfully (and I thought rather cleverly) kept her awake I received word that our first appointment wasn't until 10:30am. Woops, so there went Maelee's peaceful morning nap which she could and should have enjoyed in its entirety. First appointment my gorgeous and very active 10 month old spent her time ripping the tuft of hair out of a carebear doll with her teeth while I gave the message. Second appointment at 11am she spent the time desperately trying to shock herself on the exposed electrical outlet in the freshly painted room we were visiting in. Apparently my message was that boring. Then after I sat in front of the electrical outlet and proceeded to try to visit further she found a goldfish cracker inside the taped up fireplace (remember the room was being painted) and frantically attempted to shove it in her mouth because apparently she was starving.
Poor girl crashed at 12:30 for a late morning nap/very early afternoon nap and had a lovely afternoon and evening loudly reminding me to try to be more like the visiting teacher in the above fairytale.
I relay this story not for sympathy but simply to tip a very large hat to anyone who gets any visiting teaching done with more than one child.
PS - I wouldn't have Maelee any other way! I am glad she is so busy and silly! Oh and today she got dangerously close to her entire body being through the dog door into the most coveted Chloe world outside.

haha that picture is so cute of her in the doggy door! you are great for even attempting to take her with you!
I miss having you as a visiting teacher. I still remember the bag of stuff you brought me when I was sick...oj, kleenex, other fun stuff. Those girls are lucky to have you. Better on the last day of the month than not at all. :)
