Hands down the blessing for me this week was General Conference. It is a series of meetings held twice a year by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Chanel WB61 has been airing it for years. How amazing it is for our family to be able to turn on the television and hear direct from a prophet and apostles of the Lord. The talk of the day for me was of course near the end of the second session given to young mothers by Elder Ballard. A snippet of this amazing talk that I keep thinking about was a story of a mother with children grown. She looked at a picture of three of her children when they were very young sitting on the grass on a family quilt. She looked at the picture from the past and wished that she had lived more in the moment then. She wished she had been less concerned with "getting things done" and more concerned with being in those precious moments with her children that she will never have again. She wished she could remember the things they talked about that day, what they had for diner that night, etc. The small story reminded me again how important it is to take advantage of what I have now with Maelee and Frank. To appreciate and enjoy each day more and to stop caring so much about what I didn't accomplish during my day, but instead to stop more and realize how amazing my baby girl is and how blessed I am to have a husband who honors our family.
In short I am so thankful for the blessing of General Conference and can't wait until we get our next Ensign in the mail. My goal is to dive deeper into it and take advantage of the spirit of peace, hope and joy I get from reading those sacred words.

The picture are darling. What a fun way to document Maelee's growing up.
I didn't get to hear Conference so I am waiting for the Ensign. I think back on all the important and not so important moment of your children's lives and just think I always thought there would be more time- but time just get away from you and they are grown.
