Great Strides Update

Frank and I wanted to thank EVERYONE for the huge success and support we have been receiving for our Great Strides project. Within 48 hours of starting over 400 dollars was raised to fight CF, several friends and family let us know that they want to walk with us on April 26th, and the blog entry itself was viewed over 200 times since it was posted! I've said it before but we can't say enough how excited we are to be doing something positive in regards to CF. We hesitated to say anything too much about the walk because we didn't want to come off as "poor us" or make people feel obligated to do anything. We also know that every single family and person faces hard things, has other causes to support, and overall are already busy and overloaded with obligations. So it humbles us more than we can express to have people reach out and let us know that they care and take action.

More info on the walk: Walk day is a fun, family-oriented celebration that includes a healthy 5 kilometer (3.1 miles - this sounds super long but remember the "walk" is not mandatory and there is going to be lots of other things to do) walk, Kids’ Corner activities, food, and festivities that participants look forward to year after year. Some of this year's local sponsors are WalMart, Outback Steakhouse, BJ's Restaurants Foundation (FYI - BJ's donates a portion of all Pizookie dessert sales to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation), Texas Instruments, and Car Quest.

I was so pleased to find your blog and the links to the other cousins.

I have just started my own. Grandma Sue Says.

Uncle Dave and I would love to walk with you, but we won't be in town.

We would love to send a check.

Love you all. Aunt Sue

Frank and Kamerah,

I'm so sorry to hear your child has Cystic Fibrosis, unfortunately however, when you came to visit me you told my mom about it, and because of my emotions and excitement about you coming to visit I had no idea what you were telling my mom. so I appologize. by the way.

My blog is nathanprattandbirds.blogspot.com

Okay, we are in! Josh can't make it because he's got a campout that weekend with the scouts. But me and the kids will be there and I am going to ask a friend to come too.
