Maelee's Birthday

Maelee had a fun birthday week! She got surprise packages and boxes from Grammy B and Nana & Papa before her birthday even arrived. In the mail Nana sent her the traditional (for her grandbabies) birthday bucket with lots of fun things to eat, touch, play with and look at. Maelee loved opening the box almost as much as her dad did. Her birthday party was a few days earlier than her birthday but all her in town aunts and uncles came along with her Show Low family to celebrate her first year! She loved to smoosh her cake and open presents. She was an extraordinary hostess going from guest to guest making sure everyone was having a nice time at her party. On her actual birthday her Auntie Mel came for a visit and we all went to get gelato. She got to wear her Aunt Brandie ribbon flip flops which she took several occasions to admire while we walked from the car to the gelato place. Maelee gave her Funshine Carebear from Mel lots of kisses and hugs then carried it around by her teeth for a while. In the afternoon Maelee's friend Kaylyn came over to have their weekly water date. When Frank got home from work Maelee was able to open the rest of her presents from us and enjoy and evening with new things to do. It was a very full and fun day and so far Maelee loves being one year old.
