Maelee had a lousy nap day yesterday which meant we had some extra hours on our hands. I decided to put Swiss Family Robinson in to watch. Success. Maelee loved all the animals. Especially the tiger that periodically peeps on the family from the jungle. He was definitely her favorite, even though he's supposed to be scary he got squeals of joy from Maelee. Maybe one day she will fight with her sisters about whether Fritz or Earnst is the cutest like her mama did, but for now watching them race on a donkey and a ostrich is more fun. We didn't quite finish the movie before Dad came home.
And since one of Maelee's Dads dreams is to be deserted on an island away from all other people except his wife and daughter (at least that's what he says but he admires the Castaway lifestyle to much to want us there with him I secretly think). He proceeds to question why the Robinson family had to build such a fancy house on their island. Why can't they just be happy with their beach lean to - he would be after all!+019.jpg)
And then to prove to his daughter that he was a lot more fun than watching those hunks race island animals he turned on his Dad charm.
And he definitely did prove that he was way more fun than Fritz and Earnst anyday.

That is so sweet I love it when they will actually watch something with you that you don't have memorized all the way! Way to give your mom some veg out time little Maelee. It looks like she is getting some curl in the back. Before too longe maybe some hair clips will stay in. I'm only dreaming of the day for bows and clips! Ask Frank if Brandt can please come and visit him on his island periodically so he can get all his annoyances with the world out and not get lectured for any of them. He can ship him back UPS and yes I will sign for him.
